Terms for listed businesses

What You Get

A listing in the Poms in Perth member discount book at /offers: your business name, category, suburb, a short description and a link to your website. You can have three offers live at any one time and you write them yourself, changing them whenever you like.

You get a sign in to manage all of that, and an email once a month telling you how many people saw your offers and how many clicked through to you.

What You Do Not Get

A listing is advertising. It is not a recommendation, an endorsement, or a place in our vetted partner directory, which is not for sale at any price. It does not buy a mention in the Facebook group, a story, a reel, or anything said about you by us. Those are separate things and they cost what they cost.

The offers page says plainly that listings are paid for and that we do not check the claims in them. We will not describe you as vetted or recommended, and you should not describe yourself that way on the strength of a listing.

Your Offers

You write them and you are responsible for them. They must be accurate, they must not mislead, and you must honour them as written for as long as they are live. If an offer has conditions, put them in the terms field where a member will see them before they turn up expecting something else.

You are responsible for your own obligations under Australian Consumer Law. We are an advertising channel and nothing here makes us a party to what you sell.

We Can Take a Listing Down

A published offer is still ours to remove. We will pull a listing for a misleading offer, for an offer honoured badly, or after complaints from members, and we will refund the unused part of the month when we do.

That is not a formality. This community is the only reason a listing here is worth anything, and one business behaving badly costs us far more than its subscription is worth. We would rather lose the money.

Who Cannot List

A self serve listing that nobody checks is the wrong shape for a licensed trade, so these cannot use the discount book at all:

• Migration agents and immigration advice
• Mortgage broking and lending
• Financial advice and investment
• Insurance
• Legal services

If that is you, talk to us about a brand partnership or a spotlight campaign instead, where we check registration and the relationship is a real one. How those work.

Paying and Stopping

You pay the monthly fee shown when you registered, charged to your card monthly until you stop it. To confirm before these terms go live: whether that figure includes GST or is quoted before it, matching the rest of the rate card.

You can cancel yourself at any time from your listing page. Your offers stay live until the end of the month you have paid for, then come down. We do not refund part months when you cancel, and your offers are kept so you can start again later without rewriting them.

If your card fails we keep your listing up while the payment is retried, because a card expiring is not the same as a business leaving. If it is not paid in the end, the listing comes down.

Your Details and Ours

We hold your business details and contact email to run the listing and to invoice you. Card details are handled by Stripe and never touch this site. Our privacy notice covers the rest.

We can change these terms, and will tell you by email before a change applies to you. If you do not want to continue on the new terms, cancel and the change never takes effect for you.
